Guiding Every Learning Journey
The Compass is the heart of the Say Grace Learning Journey—bringing together progress, achievements, adventures, keepsakes, and meaningful family moments in one simple place. It encourages children to celebrate growth, explore new opportunities, and continue learning long after the lesson is complete.

More Than an App—A Learning Companion for the Whole Family
The Compass is the optional digital companion to your Say Grace Learning Journey. It combines progress tracking, interactive learning, and a safe storybook world where children continue their adventures beyond the printed curriculum. Designed for families, schools, and learning groups, The Compass helps organize learning while giving children a place to explore, celebrate milestones, and build confidence—without ads, social media, or unnecessary distractions. Parents remain in control through customizable settings and parental controls, allowing each family to decide exactly how they want to use it.
Growing More Than Knowledge
The Compass was designed to do more than celebrate completed lessons. It creates a safe digital world where children practice responsibility, make thoughtful choices, and experience the satisfaction of watching their efforts grow into something meaningful.
As children complete quizzes, participate in learning games, and finish their weekly adventures, they earn acorns, tokens, and special rewards. Those rewards aren’t simply collected, they’re used.
Children learn to save for something special or spend a little now. They decide which decorations belong in their homestead, which books to unlock, what adventures to experience next, and which treasures are worth waiting for. Along the way they’re naturally introduced to financial literacy, delayed gratification, planning ahead, and making thoughtful decisions, all through play.
Their Tree of Knowledge grows leaf by leaf as they progress through the curriculum, creating a visual reminder that every lesson, every challenge, and every small success contributes to something bigger.
Each week children can also save their favorite adventure photos into a personal photo album, revisit memories from their Learning Journey, create keepsake postcards, collect passport stamps, and exchange letters with the friendly characters who live throughout the Say Grace Village. The result is a digital scrapbook that grows alongside them year after year.
The Compass also includes cozy spaces for reading and discovery. Characters can read stories aloud, introduce recommended books, and invite children into themed libraries, observatories, nature trails, village buildings, and exploration hubs that make learning feel less like completing assignments and more like stepping into a world filled with wonder.
Everything inside The Compass was intentionally created to encourage responsibility, curiosity, kindness, and confidence without advertisements, social media, or the distractions that often accompany children’s technology.
The goal isn’t simply to use technology.
It’s to teach children how to use technology with purpose.

And This Is Only the Beginning…
The Compass is filled with far more than can fit on a single page. Beyond the features you’ve seen are countless places to explore, characters to meet, stories to discover, games to play, collections to complete, and adventures waiting around every corner. Every part of the experience is thoughtfully designed with one purpose in mind to encourage curiosity, celebrate learning, and make children excited to come back for what’s next.
Unlike many educational apps that begin fresh each year, The Compass grows alongside your child. Their homestead expands, their Tree of Knowledge flourishes, photo albums fill with memories from each Learning Journey, passport collections grow, achievements accumulate, and treasured keepsakes remain part of their story. As children move from one grade band to the next, they aren’t starting over. They’re continuing an adventure they’ve been building all along.
Over time, The Compass becomes more than a learning companion. It becomes a digital scrapbook of childhood filled with accomplishments, favorite memories, meaningful milestones, and the confidence that comes from watching years of growth come together in one place.

Keeping Parents in the Driver’s Seat
The Compass was created to give children room to explore while keeping parents and guides firmly in control of the learning experience. From one central dashboard, adults can follow progress, review completed work, manage multiple children, and see how each learner is moving through their Learning Journey. The goal is to make oversight simple and encouraging, not to add another complicated system for families to manage.
Every family is different, so The Compass is designed to be flexible. Parents and guides can customize the experience by choosing which features are available, deciding how much independence a child is ready for, and using verification tools when they want completed work reviewed before the next part of the adventure opens. As children grow, those settings can grow with them, allowing families to gradually encourage greater responsibility and independence at a pace that feels right.
The Compass also helps take some of the organizational weight off the adult. Progress tracking, learning history, achievements, completed activities, and other important milestones stay together in one place, making it easier to see what has been accomplished and what comes next. Whether a family prefers to use only a few digital tools or explore everything The Compass has to offer, parents remain the guide—and the technology simply helps make the journey easier to manage.
And because The Compass is completely optional, families always decide how technology fits into their learning. It is there to support, organize, encourage, and extend the Say Grace experience—not to take the place of the parent, the printed curriculum, hands-on learning, or the time families spend discovering the world together.
Learning That Feels Rewarding
Children naturally enjoy working toward goals, collecting treasures, and watching something they care about grow. The Compass uses those same ideas to encourage learning in a positive, meaningful way.
Instead of simply clicking through quizzes, children earn acorns, tokens, and other rewards by practicing spelling words, reviewing math facts, completing quizzes, strengthening skills, and reaching learning milestones. Those rewards can then be used throughout the village to save, spend, build, collect, and continue their adventure.
The result is a learning experience that feels more like exploration than obligation. Children are encouraged to come back, practice again, and celebrate their progress, not because they have to, but because they are excited to see what happens next.
For parents, this creates a built-in encouragement system. Rather than constantly inventing reward charts or finding ways to motivate extra practice, The Compass provides positive reinforcement that is already woven into the adventure. Learning remains the goal, while the rewards simply make the journey more engaging.
Your Adventure Grows With You
Unlike many educational programs that begin fresh every year, The Compass remembers your child’s journey. As they move from one grade band to the next, the world they’ve built continues to grow alongside them.
Their homestead becomes larger and more personalized. Their Tree of Knowledge gains new leaves from every adventure. Photo albums fill with memories from years of exploration. Collections, achievements, letters, keepsakes, and earned rewards become part of a story that belongs uniquely to them.
Instead of starting over each year, children continue building on everything they’ve already accomplished. That continuity helps create a sense of ownership, pride, and responsibility while reminding them just how far they’ve come.
Years later, they won’t simply remember completing a curriculum. They’ll remember the village they built, the adventures they shared, and the journey that grew with them.
Your Dashboard. Your Way.
No two families learn exactly alike, which is why The Compass gives guides the flexibility to customize the experience. Enable or disable features, choose the level of independence each learner is ready for, and adjust settings as children grow in confidence and responsibility. You remain in control while The Compass quietly supports the learning behind the scenes.
